JPA Workforce - San Antonio is working with a client in their search to fill a 3rd Shift, Sun - Thurs. 5am - 10am, Package Sorter position in San Antonio, TX. The pay rate is $16.50 HOURLY. This position is entry-level. No experience is necessary. This is a Temp to Hire opportunity.

Job Description:

Verify and maintain records on incoming and outgoing shipments involving inventory. Duties include verifying and recording incoming merchandise or material and arranging for the transportation of products. May prepare items for shipment.

Responsibilities:

• Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, damages, or discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, or recordkeeping purposes. Contact carrier representatives to make arrangements or to issue instructions for shipping and delivery of materials. Confer or correspond with establishment representatives to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, or nonconformance to specifications. Compute amounts, such as space available, shipping, storage, or demurrage charges, using computer or price list. Examine shipment contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy. Pack, sorting bins, seal, label, or affix postage to prepare materials for shipping, using hand tools, power tools, or postage meter. Ability to use RF scanner, will train

Experience: 12 months

Physical:

• Standing long period 8 hrs. plus
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs

Skills:

• Picking or packing
• Using RF scanners
• Ability to work in a fast- paced environment
• Loading and unloading
