JPA Workforce - San Antonio is working to fill a 1st Shift 9am to 6pm, Heavy Lifter position in San Antonio, TX. The pay rate is $19.00 HOURLY. This is a Temp to Hire opportunity.

Description:

a physically demanding warehouse or industrial labor role responsible for moving heavy materials, cleaning work areas, and using basic hand tools to assist with production, maintenance, or facility operations. This is a Temp-to-Hire opportunity with the potential to become a permanent position based on performance and attendance.

What you'll do:

• Lifting, moving, and transporting heavy materials and equipment
• Cleaning work areas, machinery, and production spaces
• Using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, hammers, and drills
• Assisting with assembly, maintenance, or repair projects
• Loading and unloading materials from trucks or storage areas
• Organizing inventory, tools, and supplies
• Removing debris, scrap materials, and waste
• Following safety procedures and company guidelines
• Supporting production, warehouse, or maintenance teams as needed
• Performing general labor tasks assigned by supervisors

Education: No formal education required.

Experience: 12 months

Previous general labor experience preferred but not always required, Ability to safely lift and move heavy objects, Familiarity with basic hand tools, Willingness to perform cleaning and physically demanding tasks, Reliable attendance and punctuality, Ability to follow instructions and work safely, Team-oriented attitude

Physical:

• Frequent lifting of 50–100+ pounds (with assistance when required)
• Standing and walking for most of the shift
• Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching
• Pushing and pulling heavy materials or equipment
• Repetitive physical movements throughout the workday
• Ability to work in warehouse, industrial, or outdoor environments
• Manual dexterity for operating hand tools
• Ability to climb ladders or stairs if needed
• Ability to work in varying temperatures and conditions
• Wearing required PPE such as gloves, safety glasses, steel-toe boots, and hearing protection
