JPA Workforce - Dallas is working with a client in their search to fill a MONDAY-FRIDAY FROM 12PM TO 8PM, Transportation Dispatcher position in Roanoke, TX. The pay rate is $20.00 HOURLY. This is a Temp to Hire opportunity.

Job Description:

Looking for a reliable and organized Dispatcher to join our logistics team. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity—no prior dispatch experience is required—making it ideal for individuals with strong communication and organizational skills who are eager to learn and grow in the transportation and logistics industry. As a Dispatcher, you will be a key player in coordinating deliveries and pickups by working closely with drivers, warehouse staff, and customers. You will ensure smooth day-to-day operations, keep drivers on schedule, and maintain accurate communication through email and internal systems.

Responsibilities:

• Support daily clerical and dispatch functions to ensure smooth operations
• Systematically assign delivery paperwork to drivers based on route and schedule
• Check drivers in and out for deliveries and pickups 
• Dispatch drivers to their next pickup location (Fleet size: 4–6 drivers)
• Respond to customer emails regarding pickup/delivery statuses in a timely and professional manner
• Verify any OSD (Over, Short, Damaged) products and report findings to the back-office support team
• Print and organize paperwork for warehouse staff and drivers 
• Coordinate with internal teams to resolve delivery or routing issues

Education: No Requirements

Experience: 12 months

Experience in a logistics, warehouse, or clerical support role Familiarity with dispatch systems or routing software is a plus Prior customer service experience is helpful

Physical:

• Ability to sit at a computer station and use a phone for extended periods
• Ability to occasionally move around the warehouse or delivery area to verify shipments
• Must be able to lift light paperwork or office supplies as needed

Skills:

• No prior dispatch experience necessary – training provided Proficient in
• English (both verbal and written)
• Strong email communication skills (professional and timely response writing)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Outlook and Excel
• Comfortable working independently and making quick decisions under pressure
• Excellent attention to detail and time management
