Packaging material and printing warehouse in the Carrollton, TX area!

Description:

We are seeking a qualified Machine Operator for the 1st shift.

Pay rate starting $15/hr. Please note, the pay is temporary for the first months while they are in training.

Regular Schedule is 5am-1:30pm.

These are temp to hire positions.

Machine Operators will oversee running our paper bag converting and printing machines.

What you'll do:

  • Reading orders to make sure the right print is being printed, correct paper is being used, correct paper handles are being applied for the order in hand.
  • Assist the Technicians to set up machines by helping to install rolls of paper onto the feeder.
  • Make sure glue levels are sufficient.
  • Clean off glue in certain areas of the machines.
  • Maintain a clean machine so that it runs smoothly longer.
  • Troubleshoot issues and make minor adjustments
  • Minimize waste by making sure the machine is calibrated correctly (adjusting when needed).
  • Quality check final product and interact with packers as needed.

Education: No formal education required.

Experience: 6 months

  • Be able to crawl through small spaces to reach certain areas of the production machines.

Related Experience: Would prefer individuals who have experience working around large machinery in a manufacturing plant. These are not general labor type of individuals., Ability to use some basic tools such as Allen keys, wrenches, and pliers., Understands safety basics (making sure that they follow proper protocols before reaching into the machine and following procedures for opening pressurized cannisters for glue)., Must be strong enough to lift raw materials (up to 50lbs)., Be able to crawl through small spaces to clean machines occasionally., Must also be comfortable going into the machines to clean out areas that have trouble. Basically, not afraid of getting dirty., Must be able to stand throughout their shift., Bilingual (English and Spanish).
