JPA Workforce - Dallas is working to fill a Monday-Friday 7am to 4pm, Warehouse Supervisor position in Carrollton, TX. The pay rate is $25.00 HOURLY. This is a Temp to Hire opportunity.

Description:

Warehouse Supervisor to lead a small, high-performing warehouse team of 3–5 employees. This role oversees daily operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory management, order fulfillment, equipment operation, and safety compliance. The ideal candidate leads by example, works alongside the team when needed, and drives operational excellence in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

What you'll do:

  • Operations & Leadership
  • Supervise and coordinate all daily warehouse activities, including shipping, receiving, packing, and order fulfillment.
  • Monitor inventory levels, conduct cycle counts, and resolve discrepancies.
  • Ensure accurate and complete shipping and receiving documentation.
  • Review, prioritize, and fulfill incoming and outgoing orders efficiently.
  • Team Management
  • Lead, train, coach, and motivate a team of 3–5 warehouse employees.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
  • Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment built on accountability and clear communication.
  • Equipment & Safety
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other material handling equipment.
  • Ensure team members are trained, certified, and compliant with safety protocols.
  • Lead safety programs, conduct meetings, and ensure OSHA compliance.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free warehouse environment.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Communicate with purchasing, customer service, and other departments to resolve issues.
  • Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS), scanners, and technology for accuracy.
  • Identify and recommend process improvements and cost-saving opportunities.

Education: High School

  • High school diploma or GED

Experience:

Minimum 5 years of warehouse operations experience., At least 2 years of supervisory or team lead experience in a warehouse setting., Experience in a fast-paced distribution, manufacturing, or logistics environment preferred.

Physical:

  • Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs regularly.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, kneel, and reach throughout the workday.
  • Ability to climb ladders and work around warehouse equipment safely.
  • Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled warehouse environment.
  • Ability to remain on feet for extended periods.

Skills:

  • Fluent in English and Spanish (spoken and written).
  • Strong leadership, team-building, and coaching abilities.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Knowledge of inventory control, shipping/receiving processes, and warehouse safety standards.
  • Proficiency with warehouse management systems (WMS), scanners, and handheld devices.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Hands-on, proactive approach with ability to lead by example.

Related Experience: Previous experience supervising small warehouse teams (3–5 employees)., Hands-on experience with shipping, receiving, inventory management, and order fulfillment., Experience operating forklifts and other warehouse equipment., Exposure to warehouse safety programs and OSHA compliance.
