JPA Workforce - Arlington is working to fill a 1st Shift MON-FRI, Injection Molding Operator position in Grand Prairie, TX. The pay rate is $16.00 HOURLY. This is a Temp to Hire opportunity.

Description:

The Injection Molding Operator is responsible for operating and monitoring injection molding machines to produce plastic parts according to production specifications. This role involves machine setup support, material handling, quality inspection, and packaging finished goods. The operator ensures production runs efficiently while meeting quality and safety standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What you'll do:

  • Operating 3-Roll mill machines safely and efficiently
  • Mix and Matching colors using x-rite computer programm
  • Load raw materials (resin/plastic pellets) into machines
  • Monitor machine cycles and adjust settings as directed
  • Inspect molded parts for defects such as cracks, flash, or warping
  • Trim, clean, and package finished products
  • Maintain production logs and report issues to supervisors
  • Perform basic machine cleaning and routine upkeep
  • Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements
  • Keep work area clean and organized (5S standards)
  • Meet daily production quotas and quality standards

Education: No formal education required.

Experience: 24 months

Experience operating machinery or working on production lines, Familiarity with basic quality inspection techniques, Experience in plastic manufacturing or injection molding is a plus but not always required, Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in a fast-paced setting

Physical:

  • Ability to stand for 8–10+ hours per shift
  • Frequent bending, reaching, and repetitive hand movements
  • Ability to lift 25–50 lbs occasionally (materials or finished parts)
  • Manual dexterity for handling small or detailed parts
  • Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with noise, heat, and machinery
  • Must wear required PPE (safety glasses, gloves, etc.) at all times
  • Ability to perform repetitive tasks with consistency and focus
