JPA Workforce - Arlington is working with a client in their search to fill a 1st Shift 7AM-3:30PM, Packer position in Roanoke, TX. The pay rate is $16.00 HOURLY. This position is entry-level. No experience is necessary. This is a Temp to Hire opportunity.

Job Description:

We are seeking reliable and detail-oriented Packers to join our warehouse team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing, packing, and labeling products for shipment, ensuring accuracy, quality, and timely order processing in a fast-paced environment. Bilingual communication skills and basic computer proficiency are required for this role.

Responsibilities:

• Pack products securely and efficiently according to company standards to prevent damage during transit.
• Verify items against packing lists or orders to ensure accuracy.
• Label packages correctly with shipping information, barcodes, and required documentation.
• Inspect products for damage, defects, or discrepancies before packing.
• Use computer systems or warehouse management systems (WMS) to process shipments and update order status.
• Maintain a clean and organized packing station.
• Assist with inventory control by reporting shortages, damages, or inconsistencies.
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
• Support picking, sorting, or loading/unloading tasks as needed.

Education: No Requirements

Experience: 12 months

Warehouse, distribution center, or logistics experience., Prior experience with packing procedures, shipping systems, RF scanners, or warehouse management systems (WMS) is a plus.

Physical:

• Ability to stand, walk, and move continuously for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs (may vary depending on company).
• Frequent bending, reaching, squatting, and twisting.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures (non-climate-controlled environments).
• Must have manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination.

Skills:

• Bilingual communication skills (e.g., English/Spanish) required.
• Basic computer skills (data entry, navigating systems, printing labels).
• Basic reading and math skills (to interpret packing slips and shipping labels).
• Strong attention to detail to ensure correct packing and labeling.
• Time management skills and ability to meet productivity targets.
• Ability to use packing equipment (e.g., tape guns, label printers, scanners).
• Teamwork and communication skills.
