Machine Operator

JPA Workforce - Arlington is working with a client in their search to fill a 1st Shift (5AM-1PM)/2nd Shift (1PM-9PM), Machine Operator position in Carrollton, TX. The pay rate is $16.00 to $17.00 HOURLY. This is a Temp to Hire opportunity.

Job Description:

We are looking for dependable, detail-oriented, and bilingual individuals to operate and maintain paper bag converting and printing machines. The ideal candidate is comfortable working around large machinery, following safety protocols, and performing hands-on cleaning and minor adjustments to keep production running smoothly.

Responsibilities:

• Read orders to ensure correct printing, paper, and handles are used.
• Assist Technicians in setting up machines (installing rolls of paper onto feeders).
• Monitor glue levels and clean glue areas as needed.
• Maintain machines for smooth operation and minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot minor machine issues and make adjustments.
• Calibrate machines to reduce waste.
• Perform quality checks on finished products and coordinate with packers.
• Crawl into small machine areas for cleaning when necessary.
• Follow all safety protocols consistently.

Education: No Requirements

Experience: 6 months

Physical:

• Stand throughout entire shift.
• Lift raw materials up to 50 lbs.
• Crawl into small spaces for cleaning and maintenance.
• Enter machine areas to clean hard-to-reach spots.
• Perform repetitive manual tasks and use light tools safely.
• Comfortable getting dirty during cleaning and maintenance tasks.

Skills:

• Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot minor machine issues.
• Strong attention to detail for quality control and order accuracy.
• Follow safety protocols and proper procedures consistently.
• Comfortable performing hands-on tasks, including cleaning and maintenance.
• Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented.
