JPA Workforce - Arlington is working with a client in their search to fill a 1st Shift Monday - Friday 6Am to Finish, General Laborer position in Grand Prairie, TX. The pay rate is $14.00 HOURLY. This position is entry-level. No experience is necessary. This is a Temp to Hire opportunity.

Job Description:

Seeking reliable and motivated General Laborers to join our crew. If you take pride in quality work, enjoy working with your hands, and are looking for a steady, full-time opportunity, we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the assembly of windows and doors using hand tools, power tools, and machinery
  • Load and unload materials, parts, and finished products Inspect products for quality and report any defects or issues to supervisors
  • Package and prepare finished products for shipment Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
  • Follow all safety protocols and wear proper personal protective equipment (PPE) 
  • Operate forklifts or pallet jacks (if certified or trained) Measure and cut materials according to specifications
  • Label, sort, and move materials or products to appropriate locations
  • Work as part of a team to meet daily production goals

Education: No Requirements

Experience: 12 months

Preferred: 6 months to 1 year of experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or construction environment, Experience with hand and power tools (e.g., drills, saws, nail guns), , Familiarity with basic assembly or production line work, Knowledge of safety protocols in industrial settings , Required: Ability to follow verbal and written instructions, Willingness to learn and perform various tasks as assigned, Reliable attendance and punctuality, Strong work ethic and positive attitude

Physical:

  • Ability to stand, walk, and move around the warehouse for extended periods (8+ hours per shift)
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs regularly
  • Frequent bending, stooping, kneeling, and reaching overhead
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for handling tools and materials
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, sometimes noisy industrial environment
  • Ability to push, pull, grip, and grasp materials and equipment
  • Tolerance to temperature variations (some warehouse areas may not be climate-controlled)
  • Ability to safely operate or learn to operate warehouse equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts)

Skills:

  • Basic mechanical and tool knowledge – comfortable using hand and power tools 
  • Attention to detail – ability to follow instructions and check work for accuracy
  • Physical stamina and strength – able to lift, carry, and stand for extended periods
  • Teamwork and communication – work well with others in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic math skills – ability to measure and cut materials accurately
  • Time management – meet production deadlines and manage tasks efficiently Problem-solving – identify and report issues in the production process
  • Adaptability – adjust to changing tasks, priorities, and product types
  • Safety awareness – consistently follow safety procedures and wear PPE
  • Dependability – arrive on time, follow instructions, and complete tasks consistently

Related Experience: Must have previous experience in assembly,  Must be able to work in a non climate controlled warehouse
